Hello and welcome!
So glad you came by. I'm Jaima. I write books with strong-minded women who live in times past. Somehow I haven't wrapped my head around contemporary stories yet—my current projects are nineteenth and mid-twentieth century. I write in multiple genres: STEMinist fiction, crime thrillers and comic regency romance. You'll find me under different pen names, as Jaima Fixsen and co-authoring as Audrey Blake. As a compulsive reader, I've yet to encounter a genre I don't enjoy. Perhaps there's still time, but I'm not holding my breath! I began my writing career self-publishing historical romances, moving to traditional publishing in 2021 with the USA Today best-selling novel The Girl in His Shadow, about an aspiring female surgeon in 1840s London. This year I'm excited to bring you two new novels, The Specimen (as Jaima Fixsen) and The Woman With No Name (as Audrey Blake). Take a look around to find out more! |

Brilliant. I'm a trained surgeon who is also a woman in medicine. [The Girl in His Shadow] is right up my alley and I loved every minute of it.

This riveting historical novel brings to light the reality of a doctor’s life in the late 1800s:
“A doctor’s life, it often seemed, was a series of gambles mixed alternately with unsolvable and unnecessary problems.”

Engaging, witty, and authentic. Her characters were delightful (with a pleasing edge), and the scenes in the book captured my imagination.

The Woman with No Name by Audrey Blake is an excellent WWII-era historical fiction that I highly recommend. I have read my fair share of WWII historical fiction, so at this point I am extremely selective. I am so glad I took a chance on this book. This one has an excellent narrative, suspense, intrigue, and a strong female character that one couldn’t help but champion. Yvonne Rudellat is an amazing main character, and was in real life as well. I loved learning her story, and being thoroughly entertained in the process.
